Who we are

Kompound is an estate management platform operated by ServHub Technologies Limited, powered by TechWaveNG. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean ServHub Technologies Limited. You can reach us at contact@kompoundapp.com or on +234 812 225 8218.

Information we collect

We collect only what the platform needs to run your estate.

Account details: your name, email address, phone number, and the estate, compound or house you belong to.
Visitor information: the visitor names, purposes and any photo a resident chooses to attach when creating a visitor pass.
Access records: entries and exits recorded at the gate, including the time, the pass used and the security officer on duty.
Payment information: dues, bills and wallet transactions. Card details are handled by our licensed payment providers and are not stored on our systems.
Location: your device location is used only when you raise an emergency SOS, so that security can reach you. It is not tracked at any other time.
Device information: a push notification token so we can alert you, plus basic technical information needed to keep the apps working.
Camera and photos: used when you scan a pass QR code, attach a visitor photo, or upload proof of a payment. Access is requested only at the moment you use those features.

How we use information

To verify visitors at the gate and maintain the estate's access records.
To bill, collect and record estate dues, levies and service payments.
To deliver emergency alerts to your estate security when you raise an SOS.
To send notices, reminders and updates relevant to your estate.
To provide the services you request, such as booking a professional or a recycling pickup.
To keep the platform secure, investigate misuse and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your information

Your estate's authorised management and security personnel can see the records relevant to their role, such as gate activity and dues status. Other residents cannot see your personal or financial details. We share information with service providers who help us operate, such as payment processors, messaging and hosting providers, and only to the extent they need it. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

Keeping information safe

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on secured servers with restricted access. Sensitive credentials held on your device are stored in the secure storage provided by your phone's operating system. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously and review our practices regularly.

How long we keep it

Access and payment records are retained for as long as your estate needs them for its own security and financial records, and for as long as the law requires. When you close your account, we remove or anonymise your personal details, except where a record must be kept for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
Ask us to delete your account and personal details, subject to records your estate or the law requires us to keep.
Withdraw permissions such as location or camera access at any time in your phone settings.
Turn off notifications in the app or in your phone settings.

Children

Kompound is intended for adults responsible for a household or working in estate management. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and where the change is significant we will let you know in the app.
